What we know about you.

What we collect

• Your email address, because sign-in is a link we email you. There’s no password, so we never store one.
• A display name and a city. Both are public. City is deliberately coarse — we don’t ask for or want your street address.
• Your items: photos, descriptions, condition and flaws, and the city you’d hand them over in. All public.
• Your pitches and trades. A pitch is visible to the person you sent it to. A completed trade, and the pitch that won it, become part of the public record.
• Messages in a trade chat, visible to the two of you.
• Basic usage data so we can tell whether the game works — how many people put an item in play, how many trades complete.

What’s public

Journeys, item histories, display names, cities, and the pitch text on completed trades. Published item photos are also permanent journey history and may remain public after you delete your account. This is the product working as intended: the story is the point. Assume anything you publish could end up on a public page and be shared.

Before uploading a photo, check the background for faces, addresses, mail, license plates, personal documents, screens, and other details you would not want to remain public. We show this warning again when you put an item in play.

Page counts

We use PostHog in its United States region for simple page counts. Each count includes a broad browser and operating-system family, a public route label, and a random ID that lasts only for that page load. We don’t connect it to your account, save a visitor ID, or send your words, searches, or answers. Our checks and known automated browsers are excluded. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control turn these counts off.

What stays private

Your email address is never shown to other players. Chat messages stay between the two people in a trade. If you decline a pitch and pick a reason, the person who pitched never sees that reason — they see only that you declined.

What we never ask for

Payment details, government ID, your address, or your date of birth. There’s nothing to pay for, so there’s nothing to collect.

Who else sees it

We use Supabase to store data and Vercel to run the site. They process data on our behalf and don’t get it for their own purposes. We don’t sell your data and we don’t run ad tracking.

Deleting your account

Ask and we’ll permanently disable your account and remove your email address, display name, username, profile picture, city, private trade messages, and other private account activity. Your current item leaves the trading floor, and anywhere your profile appeared will say “Deleted player.”

Published item photos, item descriptions, and completed trade records stay in the public journey, because that history belongs to the other player too. We disconnect that history from your identity and remove your own pitch and city from the public record. Draft items that were never published are deleted. We may remove specific content when safety or the law requires it.
